It was fine. I like the author and her stories. She’s definitely got some work to do on her writing style but she does simpy men and romance well and I think can be one of the greats. I appreciated a novella drop while we wait on her books to be rereleased/released under her publishing contract.

Normally, novellas are a bit too fast paced for me, and I’m left aching for more, but this was absolutely a knock out!
You get some backstory, and it makes it much less insta-love than a normal novella, and it’s just soo good.
Sarah is honestly so good at writing a down bad MMC, and this is no different.

Sarah A. Bailey knocked it out of the park with another amazing love story that I fell in love with from page one. If there is one thing that I can count on every single time I pick up a Sarah A. Bailey’s book is I will laugh, kick my feet in glee, gasp, cry, and fall in love with every character. This book may not have had a mirror scene but it sure did have a window scene and that was just perfect for these two🥵Maya and Easton haven’t seen each other in a decade but once they see each again every in the world clicked back into place. Easton was down bad for our girl and had eyes for no one but her once he saw her again. After their one night stand in college they never had a repeat until Las Vegas where everything changed. The rollercoaster of this trip to Las Vegas was fast, epic, and toped off with declarations of love. Easton showed Maya that she was worth fighting for and she is perfect just the way she is and nothing about her needed to change. Maya was fierce, headstrong, stubborn, and a badass who took nothing from anybody. “Hand kisses are legally binding,” had me swooning and every time he said “my wife” I was dead and never wanted anything different in a man.
You do not want to miss this Valentine’s Novella that includes black cat x golden retriever, “just this once”, he falls first, “my wife”, and an accidental marriage because it was perfect!
