This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I really liked this cover when I saw it on Netgalley and the blurb sounded fun so I requested a copy. I then suggested to my work Book Club that we give it a try for Pride Month.

This story follows Ally as she learns how to move on from long term girlfriend Emily. I didn't enjoy all the moping about exes in this book. Both Ally and Jeremy for me focused too much on getting back with their ex's. I'm very against those relationships where people break up and get back together like a million times. If something isn't working it's time to move on. I know I can be a bit harsh on the subject but that's just how I feel.

Emily, I wasn't the biggest fan of Emily. It seemed like she wanted everything on her terms. I did feel a little sympathy for her at times but overall I didn't want Ally to get back with her.

Ally and Jeremy's friendship was a really strong point in this book for me. I was so happy to see this develop over the story and their runs were great to read. I really enjoyed the training. I found these scenes really funny.

Normally I would really enjoy the emails as it's something a little different but Ally just came across as desperate in them so I found them irritating.

Overall I found this book funny and entertaining. It was an enjoyable light read.

Exactly the kind of juicy and touching gay drama I needed! I could relate to all characters and found them extremely endearing and fun. Perhaps some themes could have been explored further but regardless, what a joy!
