The book was meh. I wanted it to have more angst or dark romance vibe. I also don’t like it when the female lead’s biggest problem is that they are “too beautiful”, like it makes it difficult to sympathize for them. Especially, when the problem she is talking about is not bc she’s “too pretty” it’s cause she’s a woman. Like babe that’s misogyny you’re talking about.

Beauty and the Beast with a modern day mafia twist. Vasilisa a hacker extraordinaire and beloved daughter of Chicago Brava was kidnapped. Rafael,The Sicilian, is very upset because someone is messing with his business by hacking into it. So he finds the hacker and boy was he surprised and finds out who they are related to. This story had action, funny banner, romantic moments and super steamy scenes. Great book.

Very much enjoyed this book. I loved that fmc was strong and set in her ways. She never backed down or whittled into a wet blanket. She is definitely my new fav fmc by this author.
mmc is amazing and he and mikahil from broken whispers are my top fav. There just something about these men with facial scars that make them even hotter.
Raf definitely gave as much as he got.
Loved the returning characters from the 1st gen.
Rafael is actually funny! His little joke at the end of needing to get her a library, I’m sorry sir I didn’t know you were a comedian. This might actually be my favorite book by Neva so far. Roman is exactly like how I imagined he would be as a father. And don’t get me started with Rafael and Vasilisa- perfection. I just finished the book and I don’t know what words are anymore.
