I have a love hate relationship with this book. I love the plot, the characters and the attitude of the author. I hate how predictable it is. I probably will read more into the series just to find out more about Keller.

Para quem gosta de magia, e muita ação, é um bom livro.

This is a good book and hopefully a good series. My only complaint is there are too many unnecessary scenes.

This book was really good, I was hoping she was as special as she is, so i cannot say I was suprised but then if I had been surprised and she wasn't what I thought she was I would have been very annoyed...

The characters are pretty cool, her best friends are a heck of a lot of help otherwise the drama between love interests would have made me go mad. Cale was okay but he was a bit wet. Like you could tell he was being set up as the 3rd in a triangle but he didn't fit. And having Camilla go crazy over him just didn't make sense because Charlotte was never a threat there was no chemistry.

Now her and the fallen angel wow wow wow. I was hoping he wasn't the baddie because I did wonder if that was where he was going but no he is the love interest and thank god! It sucked a little how long it took for Charlotte to unlock her magic but that is kind of the point of the book and it brings the tension with her struggling as much as she was.

I really loved the story line and characters in this book, but the editing is awful!

The story was a bit predictable, but it made for a quick, entertaining read with likable characters

If anything it was a fun and enjoyable read. It had enough originality to avoid being stale, and a nice enough amount of cliche to make me laugh or roll my eyes at the right moments. It was definitely paced for younger readers, but I'm a fan of young fiction so I didn't mind. Coming from Jim Butcher and The Wheel of Time, I'm rather surprised that I liked it. The "teenage girl at school" theme turned me off when I first read the synopsis, but honestly it was extremely refreshing to read a story that lacked the regular male dominated or gender balanced cast that I'm used to. And the fact that the girls were written by someone who understands women made it so much more genuine.

Awesome read

At first I thought the book was going to be a typical coning out as a magic person story but I read it in two days and I really like it. Can't wait to read rest of series

A book about a paranormal college could have been so cool, but this just wasn't. It's entirely lacking in internal logic. Here are some examples:

-All the paranormal types apparently have their own abilities, such as Lisabella being a dark mage. And yet, when the time for the Big Battle comes, Lisabella can suddenly also control wind and water. A werewolf can send messages in balls of light. A dream maker can create lights out of nowhere. If everyone can do anything, what is the point of having them all be separate? And if they can control elements, why is Charlotte so important?

-The Big Baddy apparently thought Charlotte was an elemental the whole time but, instead of killing her just to be safe, brought her to a place where she could actually learn to use her powers against said Big Bad. Why???

Spoiler-The President slings dark magic around from LITERALLY her first appearance and yet at the end everyone is like She can use dark magic?!?! WHO KNEW?!?!

-When demons are trying to invade campus, all but two of the people who are able to actually defend against them just up and leave.

Also, all of the characters in this book act more like middle school students than college students. Most of them have grown up in the paranormal world but seem completely oblivious to its realities and problems. They are the pettiest characters I have ever read about in a book. Yes, college-age is still young, but these "kids" are acting like they're 12 or 13, not in the 18-22 range (depending on what year they are).

Ah, what failed potential.

At first this book seemed to be pretty great. I liked the concept and the funny and quick writing style but after a while I just felt like I was just reading this so I could get to another book. I got bored. I still expected to turn out great by the ending but that wasn't it for me. It was nice reading an indie book though and I'm happy I picked it up.
