This took me forever to get through, but I genuinely enjoyed the prose and thought the slow burn was effective for the first half of the story. I think the novel was excruciatingly slow by the time the Harkers had met with the rest of the ensemble, but it ended with great energy and provided a satisfying conclusion.
A sure classic that birthed much of the stereotypical vampire tropes seen in media today.

Huge shoutout to Dracula Daily!

I got through this via an audio book and I had a really fun time! The different voice actors for the different journals was a very fun way to split everything up. I found the story exciting and as far as vampires go, it filled my fanged mottled heart with glee to finally read the book that started it all as far as the romanticism of vampires is concerned.

Worth the read if you love monsters and monster lore!
