Ok so I love a moody, rude, stuck up, arrogant, sad man. Mr Masters was gorgeous in every way. I really loved Bree and how her personality was, it made me laugh throughout and I just couldn’t put it down. Another book read in the space of hours, I’m literally flying through TL Swans books, I may be a little erm.. obsessed ???

Honestly, I don’t know if there's another edition or something, but what I’ve read so far is full of formatting issues. I wanted to DNF it by page 2. Formatting bad, writing bad, story bad, characters bad. So bad.

3.5 to 4 stars. I really liked it, the first 60 percent was really solid. It kept pace well and I didn’t mind where the story was going. However, it got a little cliche towards the end with both the arguments and the talk about how much they love each other. Honestly, I didn’t care a little bit towards the end. I just felt that there were too many arguments and that it could have been resolved in either two arguments and most or one big argument. Also the epilogue was WAYYYYY TOOOO LONGGGG. I read these books for the slow burn, not to read about their life after and this book did that and more. Also some of the smut scenes was a little repetitive. That can happen with smut but I find towards the end there was way too much back to back repetitive smut. I really loved the role playing though. Super steamy and well done. However, this book could have been shortened by like 100 pages. Also Spencer and Seb’a name are too close I’m name. After a while I didn’t even read who said what because they felt like the same character and one dimensional. But I loved the dialogue, It always felt natural and like I was apart of everyone’s friendship. Especially Jullian with his guy friends. They were friggin hilarious in the beginning. I wish the solutions to the conflicts made more sense or at least had a little more risk to it or effort. I just felt like it was to easily resolved. But that might just be in the toxic in me lol
I had a Jane Eyre itch, and this story tapped at it.
Nanny that's blunt with the willingness to bite. Asshole Dad/Boss that's intimidating, mean, and closed off due to his life. She was great with the kids as the story progressed and was willing to fight Mr. Masters for them.
Sassy FMC that didn't take no shit, alpha-hole MMC that bullied in some points, forbidden romance (nanny trope), age gap, he falls first, immaculate role playing... I feel like that's what sets this story apart for me... The emails and meeting up for kinky roleplay was refreshing and so hot. Their banter was SO steamy.
