It was so good, its worth every star T.L Swan keeps surprising me every time
I’ve been giving out 5 stars like it’s candy on Halloween but books are just so good, especially tl swan..
Nothing like a broody man who falls hard and it works out
Also love when the mother of the MMC can see through whatever and loves the FMC

What in the toxic bs did I just read? I basically have WHIPLASH from our MMC Jules. If I had a dollar for every time he said some MESSED UP STUFF I would have AT LEAST $25 dollars. By the end I was like girl DO NOT END UP WITH HIM I STG. Marrying him after he LIED to you?? Also Julian was a TERRIBLE father. I get that the situation was messed up, but he barely spoke to his kids this whole book. The whole book - in the trash.
Unfortunately, I listened to this as an audible. Some of those steamy scenes would have been so good to just physically read - but the voice actors did an awful job of impersonating the other to the point where I was laughing out loud.
And Julian was such a lame character. I felt like Brielle made soooo many concessions for him, and the prologue was just a series of tacked on time travel moments to prove he is actually NOT an asshole.
I liked the general outline of the plot, but even everything that happened with Willow and the school? There was never any closure with that! You can’t bring up something so traumatising and make it cause relationship problems and not explain how it ends
Anyway, 1.5 stars from me. I genuinely think I’ve I’d read it, it would be a 3, but the voice actors really pissed me off.

I need to enter this into another category...
I can't come up with a name for the special list though.
I love conflicted men. But I especially love conflicted men who have a good reason for the conflict. The dual narrative was necessary because for over 1/2 the book I was unsure if I could even like the man. Then you find out more about him, and understand why he is like he is...it's a good reason and makes you understand his reticence more.
All I can say is wow... I will be reading again and often.
-whew-
PS his friends are amazing, too. I want to know more about them.

Una trama molto scontata, ma comunque sensata e ben costruita. Ho particolarmente apprezzato il carattere dei personaggi, molto forte sia nei protagonisti che nei personaggi di contorno. Ovviamente lo smut è sempre molto ben scritto.

I was loving this book until Julian started acting like a little b*tch near the end! I’m pretty sure someone said Bree was immature in their review… are you kidding?! Julian was a child. He made Bree promise to always put the children first when they started their relationship and when she did, he threw a FIT and told her off that she wasn’t their mother.
Also he kept his little therapist visit a secret… while nothing really happened I don’t think he should’ve kept it a secret. Sammy and Willis were the sweetest! I loved how bree formed such a strong connection!
