I would have rated it higher but the narrators baby voice kept taking me out of the suspense.

I think you have to be slightly unhinged to enjoy this book, but it seems I am - maybe not a rec for your friendly neighborhood book club, but an absolutely insane ride for what seemed like a simple “mommy drama” neighborhood thriller

Don’t play games you can’t afford to lose”
Wow. I don’t really know how to begin this review without saying ‘wow’ a few hundred times. We’ve all played an innocent game of Never Have I Ever haven’t we? We’ve all unearthed a few unsavory truths much to the amusement of our friends. But what if you had done something unspeakable? Amy Whey is hosting a book club which starts innocently enough until Roux, the sexy and mysterious newcomer to their tranquil neibourhood turns up univited and knows just what Amy has done. Amy has done everything in her power to turn her life around, and will stop at nothing to maintain the life she has built. So the cat and mouse game begins. But as we all know, there can only ever be one winner.
‘Never Have I Ever’ gripped me from page one, and trying to juggle a book like this with every day life and work proved to be very difficult indeed. Especially since I often found myself day dreaming about what could possibly happen next. For those of you who have read my previous reviews, you’ll notice that there is a pattern within the type of books I just love to devour and Joshilyn Jackson delivers every single device I love in the literature I read.
With every type of suspence novel, timing is everything. And Joshilyn laid the foundations very carefully, and answers questions you already thought were answered delivered with one hell of a twist.
I can’t recommend this enough. ‘Never Have I Ever’ is released 30 July.
