Loved these stories as a child and still do for the nostalgia value. Somewhat problematic for a modern audience though.

This Rudyard fellow has "way with words." Best Beloved, I remember my mother reading us the story of how the letters got their shapes many many years ago.

I remember liking this as a child but not as much as I did this time with the girls. Man, Kipling could write.
"How the First Letter Was Written" and "How the Alphabet Was Made" are a little tedious, but the others are wonderful.

A very interesting collection of stories about different animals and how they became what they are. It was very entertaining to read; Agood book for all ages.

A series of creation stories, mostly for animals. Some were fun but the general got old after a while. Enjoyed Kipling's style.
