DID NOT FINISH

Boring

Some authors leave crumbs for you to gather throughout the book to piece together the story, this author left the whole batch of cookies and the recipe. Just once I wanted to be surprised by literally ANYTHING that happened.

This is my first Danielle L. Jensen and I found the experience to be mediocre or it could be that I have read to many novels with similar layout and plot line.

Found myself to be dwindling at the beginning and the middle, towards the end it pick up nicely but the ending wasn’t shocking to me. I already saw the signs to where the plot and character relationship was heading. This hasn’t discouraged me to continue the series, on the contrary I still have hopes that the story will develop to be more intense. Looking forward to how the FMC will adapt and grow.

*A Fate Inked in Blood* by Danielle L. Jensen is a masterful blend of Norse mythology, epic adventure, and richly developed characters that swept me away from the very first page. Jensen has crafted a captivating world inspired by Viking culture and mythology, where gods, mortals, and magic intertwine in a tale of destiny and courage.

The story centers on a formidable heroine, navigating a world where prophecy and fate play crucial roles. Jensen's portrayal of the protagonist is both powerful and nuanced, making her journey compelling and deeply engaging. The richly detailed setting, with its icy landscapes and mystical elements, creates a vivid backdrop that draws readers into a realm of gods and legends.

The plot is filled with intrigue, action, and unexpected twists, keeping the reader hooked as secrets are revealed and alliances are tested. Jensen's ability to weave together a story that is both epic in scope and intimate in its character development is truly remarkable. The relationships between the characters, whether driven by loyalty, love, or rivalry, add emotional depth and complexity to the narrative.

One of the standout features of *A Fate Inked in Blood* is its exploration of themes such as fate, power, and the choices that define us. Jensen skillfully balances these themes with thrilling battles and magical encounters, making the story not only thought-provoking but also highly entertaining.
