This book is mostly a slow-burn, forced proximity, forbidden, spicy romance dusted with a little political intrigue. The characters are flawed but in a relatable, not annoying way. The diversity of the characters and the portrayal of the love interests' metal health issues leaves something to be desired. It is fairly well written and the plot, while not super thick, doesn't have any big holes.

“We weren’t a fairytale. We were a forbidden love letter, tucked into the back of a drawer and retrieved only in the darkness of night.” 🖤

This book! It was so much fun! I loved Bridget & Rhys 😍 the chemistry between them is intense. Loved the plot twists 💖

OKAY YES YES YES

I liked the love interest (Rhys) in this book so much more than Alex
I love how their relationship progressed and how they felt about each other this book is good in all the best ways

I’m a bit of a nitpicker, so guaranteed I have some minor complaints like the timeline for example and how BECAUSE THIS BOOK IS 18+ AND HAS EXPLICIT S3XUAL CONTENT near the end when they have s3x his d1ck just jumps out of pants? Without unzipping it pulling down or whatever?

Doesn’t matter I would reread this book for a good time ;)
