Not much to say, really, since I read this for the mindless enjoyment and I don't feel like writing a book review. It was very original, to say the least. The end made me sad T-T

It has been a little while since I read this book but here is what I recall...

I love the series!! Yummy romance involving paranormal elements. Plenty of steamy action and a touch of humor!

Definitely a series to get into! I started it and didn't stop until I reached the last book that was released! I am always looking for the next book!

If you like steamy supernatural romances this is a series to look into!!!!

This book was a happy adventure

It's strange, but I'm inclined to give this book more stars than the ending deserved. Excuses first. First, I listened to this as an audiobook. In this case, it did not help matters, since the reader is my least favorite. Second, I was distracted toward the end of the book, so I may not have absorbed the ending as well as I should have.
There were a few things I didn't like about this book. It did feel like two novellas stuck together. The second half was definitely the weaker. The ending felt abrupt and anti-climactic. The arc of the story was present but not very good.
But there were more things I liked. I like Kitty. Carrie Vaughn expertly walks the line between stubborn and strong, petulant and vulnerable, funny and obnoxious. Sometimes Kitty whines, sometimes I want to slap her, but that just makes her feel more real.
I like the cousin hunters. They are clearly defined and different characters, their relationship feels real. The plot was not ideal, it spends a lot of time on character exploration and development, but sometimes that's necessary. The relationship dynamic changes did not feel rushed. The mysteries of the plot were not outstanding, but did enough to keep me interested.
In the end I recommend this book for people who read more for character than for magical shock and awe.

This one gets four stars. It's a much more developed book than the first to. Many of the side characters finally get developed. The creepy native American mythical skinwalker lore add something a bit more exotic than the usual werewolf escapades, and for a story universe with vampires it didn't feature them for once helping develop the werewolves.

Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed either of the previous installments. There didn't seem to be much motivation for the characters in the book. Kitty was depressed, new werewolf Ben brooded, and Cormac was Cormac. The mystery dealt with who would leave dead animals at Kitty's cabin, but that seemed pretty obvious, and the red eyed creature wasn't much of a surprise either. The writing was great, as usual, and I like all of the characters, even when they aren't happy and bubbly. There could have been a bit more action, but Kitty was on holiday after all. I can't wait for the next one, this is a very enjoyable and refreshing series.

A quick, enjoyable paranormal read. I haven't read the first two books in the series but it didn't seem to matter. The story was easy to follow.

Series just gets better with every book. I love the way the characters are developing. Story line keeps growing more interesting.

Really enjoyed this one -- ready to start the next in the series. Fast reading, too.

I really like the Ben twist...however, I'm not sold on the romantic relationship aspect of it.
