You know this had the potential to be great. It had some of my favorite tropes (friends to lovers, guy falls first, fake dating, one bed trope etc) and the plot was decently entertaining, truthfully I’m just not a fan of the third person dual pov aspect of it. It’s a super nit picky reason to not rate a book highly (I know) but I just find that when a romance book is written in this kind of format, it takes something away from the story for me. Other than that, I had a good enough time and was kept entertained, it’s just not one I would ever pick up again.

What a cute Contemporary Romance! Everyone knows I Love Lynn Painter and that all her books will make me giggle and have a good time. This book was so good. I loved the fake dating trope and that they had a friendly wager on who would fall in love first from a dating app. I just loved all the things about this book so good and cute! What a cute easy read/listen.

3.5/5

I really enjoyed reading this book because the characters were funny, and I also loved that they really became friends first. I guess it was inevitable because it was just so easy between them.

Their banter was excellent; it was not only charming but also humorous. The "how they met" part felt a little forced, though, and I really hate miscommunication because it's so dumb, hence the 3.5 stars.
