I would have given it a four if Jack wasn’t such a jealous dick. Like I understand how he feels for Hallie and it’s frustrating that she’s dating other guys, but that’s literally the whole point of your relationship at this point. He has no right to treat Alex the way he does. Or to be such an asshole when he’s talking to Hallie about the other guys she’s talking to. It’s like he turns into a completely different character. And I feel like it was uncharacteristic of Hallie not to call him out on it either. It completely took me out of the book.

This romance was all about the banter for me. I just loved their friendship. I am also a huuuuuuuge sucker for a he falls first book, so this one was perfect.

I love Lynn Painter’s writing style. I had lots of fun reading this light-hearted romcom and fell in love with the two main characters. This was an amazing pallet cleanser and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a short easy read ❤️
