4.5 - I could not put this book down and I can’t wait for Lynn Painter’s next adult romance!
I binged this in a day, which is impressive considering I’m a mom of 2. It had me audibly laughing out loud with tears in my eyes. I had heard of this book but didn’t expect a 5 star read but here we are.

Firstly you need to run and add this book to your tbr immediately! This is a short, entertaining, banter-filled, fluffy, and wholesome read.
I thought this would be your classic fake dating troupe but add in a one-night stand, a bet to find love and a game of let's one-up each other, let me just say this book had me OBSESSED!
This book has a hold on me!! I finished this in one sitting. It is wholesome, funny, has lots of chemistry and banter, and is overall so fluffy you won't want to put it down! Added bonus, this story is written with so many amazing troupes you're bound to see your favorite in this book.
The writing was fun, witty, and easy to follow. Lynn Painter has a way of writing her books and keeping them entertaining and funny without the added extra drama that comes with most romcom books. The characters are now one of my new favorites. Both Jack and Hallie are extremely likable characters and are so relatable. The friendship, the banter, the attraction, it all felt so genuine. Hallie and Jack's chemistry was so insanely good! They were really good as friends and as love interests which made reading about their relationship progression so much better and genuine.
I adored this book. It had me laughing out loud, swooning, and grinning like an idiot throughout. A must read romance - Highly Recommend
