I originally purchased this after watching the movies to preview them from my daughter to make sure there is no mature content for her to read them. While I have seen the moves for the hunger game, I found the book exciting and a little bit more detailed in the mind of Katniss. I’m reviewing the entire trilogy as a set event though it includes books you can buy separately. The books that make up this trilogy are
I loved that I could relate, feel abs even connect with the characters and their thoughts. I was surprised to find more information in the movie to expand on some of the dramatic scenes. I won’t be giving those away as I think everyone who loves a movie and then wants to read the books absolutely should.
I enjoyed this series, and I wanted the whole crew of people who became essential to our heroine Katniss. I enjoyed learning more about her thoughts and how she makes decisions. I really enjoyed the emotional connection she has to both Peeta and Gale. I also enjoyed seeing what the end result was of their love triangle.
This set of books was a great read and a fantastic movie. It didn’t have any explicit content besides the routine violence and descriptions of violence. I feel this set could be read by young adults and isn’t just for a mature audience.

Great female hero: flawed, unsure. Not too much romance. Just saw the first film, which left certain things out and therefore unclear, due to length constrictions, even then the film is nearly two and a half hours long.

Found the trilogy at a thrift store right before the movies were made. As I was reading them my sister informed me of the films. Books were a delight and couldn't wait to see the movies. The books were of course better that's how it goes!

Great trilogy. Would recommend to anyone. Gets a little lazy at the end, like the author was impatient to finish, but overall a great read.

Read this year’s ago when I was a teen I was obsessed with the series. Good read for YA coming from a person who would not read a thing when they were younger.

I don't know how to express my feelings about this book! I really liked it, too see the things that weren't in the movie and the start of Peeniss (lmao) and I wanted to do a good/normal review but yeah, can't so I'll be here curled up in a corner and depressing about how they left things in the end of the book ..
