This book was hard to get through because it was so cheesy and not terribly interesting. The plot was are minimum for my enjoyment. The relationship was cute but just too cheesy for me.

I was recommended this book from a good friend and although I was iffy on reading it, I ended up loving every second of it.
I paired the physical with the audio and *chefs kiss*!!!! Eros & Psyche are the couple that have the  irresistible pull between them. Eros is the bad boy, controlled by his mother and not knowing of a life for himself. Psyche is the beautiful, plus sized, positive light that Eros didn’t expect to become addicted to. They fall into a marriage of convenience but the chemistry is there from the jump. He can’t enough and she tries with everything to fight it off but can’t deny it after their first touch that there is something there!!!
Some of my fave moments:
- spicy scenes in rooms full of mirrors 😏
- found family at the end for him
- sunflower personality that you can’t get enough of from her
- THE SPICEEEEE I CANT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH
- the drama with his mama? Oof!!
- The body positivity and the way this man LIVESSSSS for her body. He is intoxicated by her every atom, her every breath, her every thought. I just cannot
Where can I find me an Eros??? Please! 😩

Don’t worry about needing to read book 1! I didn’t but I def will after finishing this and I’ll be reading the rest of the series because DAMN that was good

This was my first fantasy book and I really enjoyed the theme of living in Olympus and having the characters be modern greek mythology but when I was actually reading the book I got a little bored in the middle because there were a lot of “spicy” scenes/chapters. I also feel like most of the book was just leading up to the ending that was only two pages long (if that makes any sense) Even though it was kind of slow in the middle it picked back up again in the end and the ending made me really happy :)

Good, not great, but still worth reading. I really enjoyed the further exploration of Olympus politics which is what brought me back to this series. Eros and Psyche are likeable characters, especially Eros, even if they are a bit straight forward archetypes. Katee Robert’s writing is at times too simplistic and they have a tendency to repeatedly beat points over your head unnecessarily, rather than writing them in a way that feels natural. There’s also some places where there’s excessive or unnecessary detail such as every outfit a character wears, and every single thing they do including the car that gets them from point A to B. Overall, a compelling story with good fat representation that I think could’ve been crafted a bit better. I’ll continue with the series because Robert’s world building and concept of the city of Olympus and it’s politics is fascinating and well done.

OMG!!!! THIS BOOK!! YES!!
I loved that the author made Psyche a plus-sized character who was comfortable in her body. I'm pretty sure this is one of the first books that I've read with a plus-size character who isn't just insecure.
There was so much to love about this book, from the sort of enemies-to-lovers to the marriage of convenience. AND THE DISNEY REFERENCES FROM APHRODITE!!!!
"Bring me her heart." and "Mother knows best." I SCREAMEDD!!

I just feel like the love from Eros' side felt kind of rushed. Like he instantly became infatuated with Psyche. Though she helped him and patched him up, I feel like there should have been some more tension between them before the marriage was brought up. But, that does not change the fact that this story was amazing!!

OMG! AND CASTILLO!!! I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THAT STORY!!! But sadly, I doubt it. The next book is about Helen and the one after is I believe about Apollo and Cassandra.

Either way, I CANT WAIT TO READ THEM!!
