This instalove I was less on board with in the beginning, compared to the last book, but by the halfway point of the story I was rooting for them. I liked that Psyche was an expert game player compared to Persephone. What world do they live in? Is there magic of some sort? Who the fuck knows lol A thrilling romance with a good enough plot.

This was good! So cute and funny and dramatic but like such a good book. I’m so excited to read the others in the series! Eros was a very well written character and the dynamics between katee robert’s characters are always so good.

Eros' constant chorus of "I'm such a monster" was tiresome, but I loved Psyche and the fat-positivity in this book.

I spent most of the book yelling at these two idiots to admit they have feelings for each other. Plot was secondary

Tldr; I enjoyed this one more than Neon Gods, but I’m really liking this series so far.

  • Authentic representation of plus sized women.
  • Very good. Shouldn't have worried that much. Still liked the first one better tho, but i can't explain why. Both were good.
  • Marriage of convenience.
  • I love the way Katee Robert describes her characters (because she doesn't really assume the default white person, and starts by mentioning the skin color of a person) + the casual queerness of this. I really want to read more by her.

Just Neon Gods with their names changed out??? Pysche and Eros are copy & paste Peresephone and Hades. But we all know why we actually read this book 👀
