My absolute favorite part of this book was the lady driving the bus. She has earbuds in and has a t-shirt on that says “Dangerous.” Indeed! It really caught my attention and made me laugh.

That being said, Ninja boy learns some good lessons. Actions have consequences and ninjas can’t do whatever they want whenever they want. It was fun to read and the illustrations were great, too. I want this one for my library!

This picture book harnesses readers' inner ninja. I loved the use of metaphors. This would act as a great mentor text.

Another cute ninja story. I like all the descriptions of a ninja - the strength of a gorilla (but without the smell), a ninja's spirit is never caged, - and the illustrations are bright, like a comic.

At first glance, this is a short and silly book. BUT it could be used in a wonderful class discussion (at the beginning of the school year) about appropriate choices and behavior. Readers will have to use the pictures to truly understand what is going on in the story.
