It was fine. I feel like it was all exposition and just like part one, not an entire book one. It ended so abruptly.

Rating scale:

5 stars daaaayuuum that was a great book. My world was darker without this book and now I see in brighter colors. I WILL be rereading and I WILL be talking to my coworkers about this tomorrow who couldn’t care less about reading but I don’t care because THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW HOW GOOD THIS IS.

4 stars aiight it’s a good book. I’ll likely reread but my husband may hear of the book, coworkers saved.

3 stars I likely audibly said “meh” and felt disappointed by the book but enjoyed the overall premise

2 stars I’m not mad, just disappointed. You had so much promise and just…yeah…

1 star they say if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. So…that’s my review.

Un début un peu long à mettre en place mais une histoire très intéressante pour le moment !

3.5 stars. Opportunity to provide more detail to make the magic come more to life. I found myself struggling to imagine what the trial looked like, along with its landscape. I enjoy the MC and her grit.

I'm so excited for more

So brilliantly fantastic. I absolutely love these authors and knew that this would be brilliant and it is. Fast paced, well rounded cast , and mysteries left and right. I absolutely looooove Wild, she is fierce and strong and full of spit and vinegar. She is a great lead for our crew and I love who's ( mostly) on it. There's always the one sniveling brat that you want to slap am I right. I cannot wait for the next trial!!!

This is a freaking brilliant beginning of a series. I could definitely feel the mixing of the different authors but it wasn’t obvious. I can't wait for the continuation.

Overall, mediocre... It's definitely Harry Potter meets Hunger Games, but those are such big concepts to live up to that this just didn't meet. The writing wasn't great, in fact it was worse than mediocre. But it wasn't an absolute waste of a read either if this is something you're interested in and have a more relaxed reading outlook (I read very critically). It was a fast read, though maybe too quick in my opinion. I don't believe I'll be reading the rest of the series.

4.5 stars

A mix between The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, and Milan comes The Culling Trials. Quick paced and witty.
