This book has the ability to make you relive first love, along with all the emotions that accompany it…from mystery and thrill at the outset to what is sometimes inevitable - heartbreak.
I devoured this book on Audible, and finished in just a couple days. What made it so “can’t put down”-able for me was also the depth of the characters, and how much you truly began to feel what they felt and out yourself in their shoes. I found myself feeling their anger, disappointment, fear, and hope, throughout their stories, and loved the way that Nicholas Sparks found ways to weave in key moments, ideas and items from the story into the later-set narration.
This book absolutely broke me, but in the best way possible. Read with tissues!

I have been a sparks fan since my teen years so I will always read his work but this one was definitely one of the best I’ve read in years. I was a little disappointed in every breath and the return but this is one of the tops books I’ve read this year. Such a heartwarming story.
