Classic Sparks

I did not like the timeline story when Maggie was a teenager at all. The adult timeline and few scenes with the dog saved this book.

The premise of the book was intriguing! The concept of the chain based off the chain letters as kids has me hooked. The first part of the book was incredible and had me hooked. The second part of the book tapered off slightly and became more predictable.
The ending was good but felt rushed.
Overall I enjoyed reading it.
challenging emotional hopeful inspiring lighthearted mysterious sad slow-paced

Okay… I’m surprised I enjoyed that so much. I usually am not a fan of Nicolas Sparks but this was a sweet story.

LIKES:
1) Maggie… what a wonderful character,m. I really enjoyed getting you know her past and preset . So many sad events but still such a success.
2) Bryce- he was phenomenal. Love, unabashedly!
3) Mark- so sweet, such a great kid!
4) the twist… totally expected but still very appreciated.

DISLIKES:
1) not much except that it’s sad. I just wish he wrote a happy book!

Nicholas Sparks still knows how to write a sappy, yet predictable, tear jerker. I was hesitant to pick this one up, but decided to trust booktok recommendation and give him a try.

It felt like it took forever to get to the ending… so much description! But it was worth it.

I highly recommend the audiobook.
