This was so beautiful! I loved the slow build of Marcos and Nate's relationship. Just how Luke is the perfect match for Max, Nate is so perfect for Marcos. My heart went out to Marcos and I got teary eyed a bunch of times. I loved Nate's patience and perseverence and also how obsessed he was with Marcos. I loved him grilling Max about Marcos.
Marcos is such a beautiful character, broken yet so very strong. I loved his journey and the fact that he put in the work to be better. It was not an easy road and they constantly need to work on it, but it was so worth it. They both found something they never thought they would have and I was so happy for them. I really enjoyed Nate's playfulness and their banter. I loved all the wooing Nate did. Nate was so in from the start and I loved how open he was about it.

I really enjoyed all of the cameos from this universe, especially the Max and Luke content. Luke and Nate are such sunshine-y characters and I love how they lift everyone up.
I love this universe so much, and I'm excited to see where things go.

Absolutely top notch perfection! Nate and his pining are on another level. Marcos fighting with himself just hurt so good. But when he gives in to what he wants? It’s just perfect. He and Nate are absolutely amazing together. I just adored these two so so fucking much it’s not even funny. Nate’s friendship with Micky and Marcos’s with Max are also fantastic. JJ truly knocked it out of the park!

Thank you for the book, here is my honest opinion:
This was a super engaging read because the two main characters are so clearly and expertly brought to life.  Nate is an absolute delight of a human being, full of charm, confidence, and pure of heart in a really authentic way.  Marco really didn’t stand a chance against Nate’s focus, attention, and kindness.  Marco was a highlight for me in Max’s book, his pain and guilt was so palpable.  I’m so glad to revisit him so he Marcos can get his HEA as well.  His friendship with Max is genuinely beautiful.  I just really loved that these two meet each other where they are, both trying to push themselves when necessary to show up for the other.  It’s pretty special really, how Marcos and Nate navigate their relationship with such respect and care… and humor.  Hockey romance is the genre I read most often, and it can be hard to find new authors and stories that really stand apart.  This is that, a standout series with truly exceptional characters and layered and lovely romance.  Loved it a ton!
