I wish we got a bit more of both characters’ pre-college backstory. Especially Marcos, it’s particularly difficult to view Marcos as a full character with a childhood. Despite the characters lacking depth, the book is fabulous. The fact the plot takes place over a longer timeframe feels very right for these characters. The longer timeframe also lets this relationship bloom in such a realistic way. Even Nate’s insta-lust to love feels realistic for this story. The emotional development of this book is truly standout.

By far the best book I’ve read this year. I don’t think I’ve ever cared fort two chacacters as much as these two. They story was well done and I really felt like I got to know them personally. My only complaint was that it’s over. I need more of these two.

The pacing on this one was a bit weird. Reading the series back to back felt repetitive (so that’s my bad) but it also covered SO much time that it was hard to tell where the plot was going at times. The ending felt pretty abrupt / inconclusive as well

I wish they’d spent more time on Marcos’ recovery. The whole therapy part felt under-explored

Nate & Marcos

Just a weird book. The first 2 in this series were great. The last 2 not so much.
AND Marcos is supposedly the catcher for the baseball team but is described as having a flat ssa! What? Catchers, doing squats all day are thighs and ssa for days! So that bothered me.

I appreciate one of the characters having touch aversion. After starting with a bang, the storyline was rather unfocused, though, and the timeline was harder to understand. Large periods of time would pass without much mention of important milestones, like graduation. The relationship was cute, but overall, this story didn't stick with me.
