Marcos, I've been waiting for you.

Nate's obvious enthusiasm for all things Marcos is my favorite part of this book. It's love at first sight in a very understated way, not in your face or unbelievable, just pure genuine affection for all Marcos is.

Another aspect I loved is you get to fall in love with Luke and Max all over again. During their book, I feel like we got a taste of the bond between Marcos and Max, but only just a taste. In this book we get the full picture and it was my favorite part of the book. I really love romance books that have just as deep friendships and other connections within them, and Marcos and Max are definitely platonic soulmates.

Before this book I couldn't picture who would be a good partner for Marcos, then along comes Nate and it's just like "of course, there could never be anyone else". He's the wide eyed, enthusiastic, bouncing golden retriever to Marcos the grouch's serious, black cat. Marcos hasn't had it easy, my heart broke for him in Max's book, but he works on healing and Nate is with him bringing sunshine to his world for all of it. Max and Marcos and their stories will forever be close to my heart.

Marcos & Nate. So cute!! Love being back in the SCU world. I was excited to read Marcos’s story since we met him in Max’s book and see how he handled the situation. I loved Nate and how carefree and loyally he loves. And I loved seeing Coach Mackenzie and Lawson again!

This book is adorable. It’s extremely light on the spice side. Marcos and Nate’s connection is genuine and sweet though.

Nate is a walking green flag.

I really enjoyed the book.
The only thing that bothered me was how abrupt the ending seemed. Especially coming right after Nate was injured. The way they just waited the whole night for the weather to get better before looking for him instead of just calling 911 for actual help was strange. Also the way he refused to go to the hospital after all that pissed me off. That whole situation was unrealistic and brushed off too easily in my opinion.
