Le synopsis est hyper prometteur et l’univers très intéressant. Pour autant, j’ai trouvé que les personnages n’étaient pas assez profonds et certains dénouements trop prévisibles. Il se passe beaucoup de choses et en même temps pas assez. Trop d’infos s’entremêlent au détriment d’une réelle construction des enjeux. Néanmoins, le Lore et la representations des relations fraternelles m’ont beaucoup plues. J’attends donc la suite avec impatience !

I enjoyed the plot but I felt like there should have been a log at the beginning explaining the different born instead of explaining it in a paragraph after the character was introduced.

What is even the point of booktok if it isn’t to tell me about books like this? It has an interesting concept which it executes pretty well, and I had a lot of fun reading it - the premise of the sequel, set up in really well in this book, is also promising!
I’ll say, the actual mystery/investigation wasn’t the strength of the book - but the vibes are what I came for and those were great.
