  It’s been a while, since I have read a novel with such amazing world building. The setting is so atmospheric, the magic system is inventive and the whole mystery is very well thought through. I can’t wait to read the second volume!

This book was different from anything I had read before in a lot of different ways! The magic system was fresh and imaginative. It was occasionally hard to follow because of the variety of terms and the complexity, but was still very interesting. The representation of a wide variety of characters was refreshing. Plot-wise, i found pieces of it to be a bit predictable, while other pieces remained mysterious. I was looking for more of a conclusion at the end which was more of a cliffhanger, so I look forward to reading the next one!
