At no point did the characters really grab my attention. The writing felt bland and predictable. The author also used a name for a type of character that can be very triggering too many readers when there are many, more creative, options out there.

I loved this fast-paced story! I would describe it as a murder mystery with magic and a touch of romance. The magic system is unique but easy to understand. I'm looking forward to book two!

Threads That Bind is a fast paced story set in an almost dystopian world where some people descends from gods and goddesses inspired by Greek mythology. Due to their heritage these people are born with certain abilities specifically connected to your divine ancestor.

The main character Io is a descendant of the Fates, and as the youngest sister she’s a cuter - a person who’s able to cut peoples life threads. This skill is really badass, if emotional to use since she has to cut one of her own threads to severe another. 

It’s a emotional thriller, with a really sweet romance and a mystery that kept me guessing. The ending left me wanting more, and I’m looking forward to the sequel in June.
