This was such an incredibly unique take on a subject so many love: Greek myth. Within the first few chapters I was completely enthralled in Io’s story. From her life to a cutter, to her past and family life, to her present and future drama with her fate thread.
It had an amazing magic system that really kept me on my toes and it was unlike anything else I’ve read.
The twists had me reeling, the characters were depthful and interesting and that romance will stick with me for a long time. Desperate for book two already!

Such an exciting read! I really enjoyed a lot of things about this book: the worldbuilding, the effortless diversity in the characters and in the ancient religions the worldbuilding draws from, and the relationships between the characters - particularly the complex relationships between the Ora sisters. The romance was very YA, I’m really not a fan of the ‘fated mates’ trope but there were definitely some sweet moments, and I liked the depth to both Io’s and Edei’s characters. The plot twists were fantastic and I’m looking forward to seeing where the story goes next!

I think the idea is so fun and interesting but the book was cluttered with lore drops that didn't always add up and a slow plot for something that should be intense. A longer page count is not always worth it. The idea was there, the vibes were not.
