Grady Hendrix delivers yet again. Loved it. Absolutely couldn't put it down.

It’s a good scary tale. It did have the horror movie vibe where you are like WHY DO THEY KEEP DOING THIS STUPID THING. So you had to suspend some disbelief or buy into the flimsy reason they needed to do this incredibly stupid thing again. The book is suppose to be about grief. I think it was a bit muddled in that area, but if grief is anything it is messy. I gave it a four because in the end a horror book should scare you; I was scared. Puppets are freakish. The surprise twist was a surprise too. That’s always nice.

Not Hendrix's finest work. Most of this book was boring as beans, but he did pull it all together at the end. It's just a shame I felt absolutely nothing for the characters until the last two paragraphs.
