I really liked this one. I found myself laughing out loud at many of the events and I felt more engaged in this one as she brought back some of the old characters as well as revealed more interesting details about Ranger.

For some reason, I found this one to be particularly suspenseful and could not put it down!

My favorite one of the series so far. There were definitely parts where I couldn't stop laughing out loud. Also probalby not worth the 4 stars but since there isn't a 3 1/2 and it was better than the previous ones I opted for the 4. Stephanie is always getting herself mixed up in crazy adventures and I have to say straying from her typical bounty hunting into the search for her missing Uncle Fred was a perfect touch to spice things up. Also I love the introduction of the love triangle and can't wait to see what ways she continues to get herself into trouble.

I was walking around Barnes and Noble book hunting when I came across a yellow book with a colorful title. It reminded me of the 80's and I love 80's-like colors.

I started reading the 1st page without looking at its premise and was already hooked on Stephanie Plum's explanation on how she was much like Barbie without pants. I remembered looking at Barbie dolls as a kid, in the 80's! So I bought the book.

80's color theme plus Barbie equals 80's for the win.

Oh, and Evanovich's narrative style is way too addicting. I think its a bit better than Dean Koontz. Yeah I said it. I MIGHT read his "Good Guy" or the "Darkest Evening of the Year," but we'll see.

Another entertaining story full of laughs and usual Stephanie Plum antics. Only thing missing was more Lula.

Let's just say this book was extremely cheesy.

There were a lot of phrases that you would see in a kids cartoon show, and the main character was a classic drama queen "bad ass" woman character. And she was utterly annoying as were her friends and family, I mean Stephine's best friend in the book actually calls herself a "'ho." And Stephine's mindset is "which guy will I sleep with tonight."

The other characters were very hollow and not much was said about them or their background and doesn't give you a sense of who they are. Like Ranger is never really explained and I still can't tell which side he's working for. Also, some things don't even make sense, Rameriez is a rapist murder who got out on parole (how does that happen, I don't know) but he follows Stephine around trying to kill her and never succeeds, he is eventually killed by another guy who tries to kill her. It just doesn't make sense or explain anything about Rameriez, the book never focuses on him as the main villain, so I don't know why he's in the book.

I did like the story with which how Stephine found out who was behind her uncle's death. That part of the book was entertaining and was a good crime novel in that sense, with all the twists and surprises.

Although some parts of the book are never explained, like why she got her BMW stolen, the whole Rameriez being in the story, her grandma just magically knowing everything that goes on but is also utterly stupid, Joe's grandma who we are introduced to once and she seems like she' going to play and important role with her visions but then she never reappears again, and the whole love triangle thing. There was never an end to that, and the book ended with the reader not knowing who she picked between the two guys.

So overall, 2 out of 5 stars for me. "Humor" and mystery/crime books don't go well in my opinion so this wasn't my favorite book, but like I said, I did enjoy the crime solving process.

Typical Stephanie plum novel. Had it's funny parts as usual.

Stephanie was back on her game in this book. The comedy was back and Grandma was in rare form. I felt like this episode was better written than the last.
