Iffy after the first book, but now things are ramped up! Many battles, wars, and fights occur across various fronts in this dark, adventure fantasy. The characters go through a lot of growth, usually for the better (cough Jezal cough). 

This begs the questions: what will Bayaz's group do next to find the seed? Will Glokta truly stop investigating the 2nd prince's murderer? Is Bethod going to go undefeated? Can West and the Dogman's groups stop him?
