The Omega Objection was quite sweet with some well done moments of suspense. Isaac and Tank were pretty adorable and I liked the new secondary characters of Xavier, Lavish, and Clara. I’m looking forward to reading Judd and Colin’s story in the fall.

4.5 So very good. This may be my favorite Carriger verse. The writing is sharp and clever, the cast of characters diverse and appealing. The developing relationship between Isaac and Tank is alternately sweet and hot as hell. The D/s element, Tank’s need to submit and Isaac’s domination are beautifully explored and so very integral to the story, it never seemed superfluous or just added to titilate. Highly recommended

Worth a reread :)

I generally like Ms. Carriger´s books, and this series is an interesting take on her supernatural world. So, even if it´s not my preferred style, I enjoyed the story.

Yay plotty werewolf smut! :D

(In more detail: the group dynamics are so much fun in this, and illustrated in such depth and detail from multiple perspectives. It's a really gorgeous example of queer found family in fantasy, which I think is really important in modern LGBTQ fiction. The bureaucratic side is also great, for me, in a persnickety worldbuilding way; fusing modern society with fantasy concepts WOULD involve a ton of paperwork, wouldn't it?)

Just as explicit as the Sumage Solution, and a delightful return to the San Andreas pack. I love the San Andreas pack stories — both for their enthusiastically sexual nature and for their chosen family aspect. Also the poly kitsunes crack me up. This one has dominance play and the pack coming into its power. I hope there will be many more stories to come!

It took me a long time to get into this, and I never got fully invested in the romance. I loved everything involving the bigger pack, and I still find the wider world-building of this universe interesting, but these MCs were pretty lackluster.

I'm still looking forward to the next book, but it's gonna have to be better than this one for me to keep going with this series.
