I enojoyed this book to some extent but sometimes felt like Nell was very annoying.
I tried so hard to love this book, I swear it I did. But I... couldn't. For starters, I hated Nell, the main character. The author tried so hard to make her cool, clever, sarcastic, funny but she seemed so 2D to me. In fact all of the characters did except Gwen, her big sister. Also, if her big sister was so selfish and at sometimes mean you would not go to their party, you just wouldn't. I have a big sister so I know that I would never go to her party with all of her horrible friends who make fun of her. Oh and her old best friends... no. Just no. Many people loved this book but I can't, I just can't! Go on, read it if you will but know this, it is not an amazing read with original characters it is not fantastically written, it is nothing special at all and the story with her Dad was hard to believe. I know fey-lore books aren't supposed to be realistic but you have to be able to believe in the story while your reading... and I didn't. I don't suggest you should ever read it.
I really did enjoy the concept of this book but I just felt it was a bit too young for me
Pretty good book but I don’t think I’ll continue reading the series as I’m satisfied with how this book ended and don’t want to ruin it
