The Audiobook is worth it. A great narrator can give a character a personality.
The Written Humor is at the level of "I shall call you Sh*t from now on, you stinky smelly demon I definitely peed on" but as I said before, the narrator makes this up a bit, lol

06/26/21 Notes:

Great narration and fun story. Though, I feel like the stark is more obnoxious on the re-read. I hope the fun intro type of events will continue to pop up in the series.

If you have not read this book please note that there is little to no town building in this book

Now that that is our of the way. I honestly would have enjoyed this book more if it had a better title. I mean a demon controlled character who breaks away with an OP talent and proceeds to try and game the system is an interesting take on a typically overdone trope. Jim is likable when he is not being stupid, but there is not enough meat on the bone of this tale to get it to 5 stars and even if there was I still have a hard time getting over a book named “The Mayor of Noobtown” that pretty much fore goes any and all town building.
