Nothing new in here for me. Needed a very good edit and some structure. Personal anecdotes from her privileged life coupled with long quotes from other people. Meh.

I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did, but Baird can write. I loved the metaphor of phosphorescence in exploring how we find resilience in the dark. This book risked being too pollyanna, but avoided this with a firm grounding in reality and the genuine challenges Baird faced in overcoming cancer. Lots of practical insights around how to live life with purpose and meaning and I think a great gift to give someone going through tough times.

This book was given to me by a dear friend, little did she know how much I needed this.
It has deeply melancholy moments, but with those moments come some amazing reminders of tenderness. I loved how Baird weaved her own personal annecdotes through. I loved how real and raw this book was to experience. I loved that it made me weep, cry and sigh.
A must read!
