I came across this book on the bookstore randomly (without knowing Zelda), and I thought it was really cute! I was right! A quick read, that is guaranteed to make you smile!

funny lighthearted slow-paced

I adore Curious Zelda and eagerly look for her posts online. She's beautiful and funny-looking and decidedly curious. Her poetry - dare I say doggerel? - is laugh-out-loud funny. She's really just delightful.

So I was eager to read her memoir of being curious and was excited when I finally latched onto it. Alas, Zelda online is more entertaining than Zelda in print. I think I was expecting the book to be a compilation of her best Facebook posts and it's nothing like that. It's cute and funny but not really for me.

The book is a black & white combination of photos and drawings, often both together - photo Zelda in illustrated astronaut helmet, photo Zelda peering out of an illustrated wardrobe, etc. There are Dear Diary entries, tales of dating neighborhood toms, advice columns, career advice, some poetry. So, yeah, it's cute but not what I expected.

That said, I'm eager to see Zelda online so I'll end this review here.
