The fact that Vaughn is more Jaguar than man made me simp!! I'm not even going to go deeper into what that says about me.

Unsurprisingly I loved this one as much as I did the first one. I can't choose which couple is my favourite but may I just say that I ate this book up! V sneaking into Faith's room was the highlight for me. I was blushing, giggling and everything. There's just something about fated mates that just does for me.

I cannot wait to see the Psy rebellion! I also want to add that Nalini Singh does found family so brilliantly. I'll admit that we didn't get to see Faith really interact with a lot of the other changelings but omds when they all were ready to avenge her sister was beautiful.

On to the next! From the excerpt at the end it seems we're getting Judd's book but omg I'm just waiting to read more about Clay and Dorian.

An interesting combination of female empowerment/choice and the more regressive fated mates trope:

"He dropped a kiss on her nose, the gesture bringing a smile to her face. Only with her was he so tender. 'I know what it's like to not quite fit. But you're strong. You'll find a way.'
"She hadn't expected him to say that, to lay the responsibility for her happiness in her own hands." (319-20)

"You were never going to be anyone's but mine" (331)

Will be interesting to see how morality/judgment plays out over the course of the series, given the ambiguity of the guilt of the murderer in this book. Who gets to judge? Who gets to dole out punishment? And why?
