Fascinating, terrifying, chilling, layered, and long as hell yet I couldn’t put it down and when I did finally put it down- I would think about it until I could pick it up again. 
I took away a star because I was a little disappointed with the ending. I would have liked to have seen Gaspar be able to heal from his pain and trauma. Will there be a second??

For a book that was 608 pages long, Our Share of the Night was easy to follow and had me wanting to know what happened next. It would have been 5 stars, but the pacing in the third act of the book droned on. The ending felt rushed after all the buildup.

It took me a while to get into it- it's slow in the beginning, especially when you don't know who anyone is or what's going on. But then the story progresses quite quickly once the ball starts rolling, and you start putting the pieces together. It's not a jumpscare horror, but the atmosphere is one of constant dread, aided by the backdrop of the dictatorship. There were moments where I read with my jaw on the floor. The trauma of people, of cycles, of corruption.
