Speaking as someone who loved reading Anne Rice’s queer & toxic vampire relationships as a teenager, this book matches those vibes perfectly, possibly even improving on them. The atmosphere and lyricism, the character growth and decay, the longing and betrayal, the desperate hunger for freedom and connection, the celebration of queer identities even in villains - I cannot get enough. If you loved Addie LaRue but wonder what if it contained infinitely more corruption and messy relationships, you must read this book IMMEDIATELY!

Incredible, I wish this book was a peice of cake so I could eat it. Scratch that a whole cake so I could consume so much of it that I become sick (in a good way).

The storytelling is immaculate, and the lesbians incredible.

Loved every second of it.

I really enjoyed this book - a lot about characters and various stories that I felt were woven well together. Did get repetitive at times & was longer than I think it needed to be haha

Excellent read. Characters were great (except Charlotte who i now hold a personal grudge against), but the climax was underwhelming. I wanted more from the confrontation between Alice and Sabine.
Charlotte's death was fitting imo but Sabine's was anticlimactic, which I'm sure was the intention, but since her character was so compelling and well-developed, i think she deserved a more dramatic send off.
