As with _Bellweather Rhapsody_, Racculia has created a large of cast of characters we love hanging out with, even when they are not always behaving lovably. Or maybe because they don't always behave so lovably? And, as with that other novel, the mystery angle of the plot is 60% McGuffin; the primary reason I love these novels are those characters, and the enduring odes to friendship, especially friendship between misfits.

I will confess that I found the ending of this one a bit successful. It gets a little busier than I needed, but more than that, a big ending is not really in Racculia's wheelhouse, and the climax is messier and more confusing than it needed to be.

That said, I will soon go read the one novel of hers I have not yet, and can't wait to see where she goes next.

overpromised on the treasure-hunting front

I just loved this book. It’s wildly entertaining and full of quirky, amazing characters.

A bit misleading title... But Tuesday Mooney Talks to A Ghost doesn't have the same ring to it. But still, very fun. The pacing and quirky characters and constant references made me think of Gilmore Girls. This was a book I was excited to pick up again and again. I need to check out more by this author!

So fun! A wonderful, puzzle-y mystery with plenty of quirk and charm. The end was a little messy--too many elements at play to all resolve satisfactorily. I do sort of wonder if it's supposed to have a sequel? b/c that would... make sense.

Overall, so enjoyable! If you want an engaging read to lift your spirits (ha ha), this is your book!

Weirdly pro billionaire with a pretty predictable plot arc but it’s a fun read with some great local history and sense of place, even if the author misspelled Olmsted
