I did listen to the audiobook version of this and I found it to be quite charming. I love finding all the twists and turns and secrets that Tuesday and her band of almost - kinda - friends discover. I think it's said best as this is a book searching for what's missing. Whether it be dead people or yourself. The ending I think was quite poetic, a great place to end an adventure , at the start of a new one.
Tuesday goes searching for adventure and learns that she craves normalcy, the same normalcy that she once took for granted - the most. Dex learns to stop dating the guys he wants to be - and rather live that life himself. Archie learns you can't white knight life alone - regardless of how much you've been told that the sun and the moon would move for you. Dorothy - sweet sweet Dorothy- learns to live. And hope. And that's all we can ever want for anyone. These characters (minus the sheer richness of the Archies) are the same people I see in my friends, my family and my loved ones. It's as if Kate wrote a book about all of us.

3.5 stars. Enjoyed reading it, but I thought I was going to enjoy it a lot more before I hit page 125ish. Still enjoyable!

Tuesday Mooney is a loner. Past experiences have taught her that this is for the best. Then a millionaire dies and invites people on a scavenger hunt through Boston to inherit some of his wealth. Suddenly, Tuesday can't go it alone, and the fun begins.
Oh my goodness. This story of Tuesday Mooney, had all the quirkiness I love, while exploring themes of grief and loss. I absolutely love it.

This was a fun read, but I feel like it tried to be too many things, and very few of the characters really felt fleshed out. Like even Tuesday was only vaguely different at the end of the novel. Dex and Dory got the most development, which they deserve, being the most interesting characters in the book, but I wanted more.
I also was hoping for this book to be much more queer than it was. Dex is gay, sure, and there are some other background gays as well, but the particular interest Archie has and a character wondering if boys and girls can really be friends without "sex stuff" really put me off for a while.
All in all, not an awful book and I'm sure there are people that this hits all the right boxes, and that's lovely! It's just not right for me.

As many other reviews also said, this story starts strong and then just fizzles. The premise is quite intriguing and I liked all of the characters a lot, too, especially Dex who was a pleasure to read. All in all, the story didn't finish as strong as it started and I think it could have been a third shorter while still staying strong. I still enjoyed my time with it.
Would give a 3.5 if I could.
The main character, Tuesday, was a realistic, smart, successful woman that I genuinely would look up to if she existed. She was introverted but not in the typical, annoying/frustrating-to-read-about recluse way that a lot of authors choose to go with. She eventually starts building healthy friendships too.
The storyline itself was also nice, full of twists and turns and enough mystery to keep me going. It got slightly supernatural, which was nice too. It was refreshing that the love interest was almost an afterthought, and didn't involve a whole heck of a lot of drama.

I was pleasantly surprised that even though the author introduced MANY characters, they each held their relevance and added nicely to the story; that isn't always the case. This was an enjoyable caper.
This is basically a modern re-imagining of The Westing Game (though, not YA) with light magic realism elements. This was one of my favorite reads of 2020. The characters were really vivid, and it gave off “finding your place in the world” vibes that reminded me tonally of Becky Chambers.

3.5 stars. There were aspects of this book I really loved, but it left me with an unsatisfying feeling that it was unfinished.
