This book reminds me of a grown-up Westing Game with more in depth puzzles and a bit more Murder. It was fun following along and trying (and abysmally failing) to solve the clues. I also loved getting to know the characters and their motivations for participating in the game. All in all, a great book with unique characters and surprises hidden down every alley.
This was a fun book. Loved the Boston setting and Tuesday the main character. Interesting angle on the story. I recommend.
I wish the Archie and Tuesday relationship had a more clear conclusion. I loved the entire story until the last 3 chapters. Archie doesn’t protect Tuesday from his brother, okay fine, but then let us have a fall out or something else between them besides a vague continuation of their relationship but not in the same way it was before? Hated this ending to be honest. The rest of the novel was great but the build up was intense for a great letdown in the end.
2.5 stars. This book had a lot of potential and started really great, but in the end not enough questions were answered, and I was left with a circle-jerk about the city of Boston.

Promising but unfulfilling. Full of common tropes that are obvious and eyerolling. Examples: "She had chased Pryce's clue into the bowels of Park Street...with a wealthy, obscenel attractive" man.
Maybe 3.5 stars? This book ended as a bit of a hot mess. Loved the individual characters — Dex, Dorie, and Tuesday herself were especially well drawn, easily rootable-for characters. I really loved Dex! Archie? Not sure about him. The dude at the end resembled nothing of his initial appearance in the book. And the crazy, overly violent appearance of Nat....what the heck?!? It’s a strange thing when the most unbelievable portions of a ghost story/mystery/treasure hunt story involve the living bad guy. And I felt like so many things were left unfinished. Sequel?
