This book was such a pleasure to read. I loved it in the same way I love The Westing Game

DID NOT FINISH: 45%

Too many characters that were uninteresting, found myself nearly halfway through and really didn't care enough to finish

This is the grown-up scavenger hunt I’ve been waiting for! Tuesday Mooney leads a group of misfits to play a game set up by a dying billionaire. The dialogue is superb… So clever and funny. The characters are captivating and real. There is an undercurrent of magic… but each instance could also be explained away as non-magical… so it kept me wondering. The surprise twists and turns were delightful and the ending very satisfying.

Fun, imaginative, light-hearted YA mystery with an eccentric kind hearted billionaire who dies and sends the whole city on a scavenger hunt revolved around his love of Edgar Allen Poe and his belief in altruism. Tuesday Mooney loves a good puzzle and has unique skills that make everyone realize she is the person to watch in the game. But she also has secrets not even her, eccentric in his own rite, best friend knows about, a ghost who haunts and helps her. Her neighbor who has been living a sad life since the lose of her mother also joins the game. Not for the money though, she wants to see her mom again and this game may give her that. Then we have the OTHER secretive billionaire who is in hiding but must compete in the game to live out his role models dying wish. Over all this was a fun read that seemed to fly by.

It was a fun read. I liked the writing style very much. The mystery could have been great but the puzzle and riddles were not completely fleshed out. The characters were interesting but their journey felt too disparate. They were connected and moving in the same direction but around each other not with each other. It could have been great but in the end was very good.
