So many time I have borrowed this book only to not open it. Glad I was finally able to read it!

Reads sort of like a YA book. It was cutesy and enjoyable. I look forward to reading more from the series.

I will be curious to see the character development for Dorian and Brix. I hope that there is more of Max and his secrets.

This is a really unique and fun cozy series! I'm glad I found these books. Pandian wrote interesting characters and a great atmospheric setting!

Pandian did repeat herself quite a lot. She often used the elementary paragraph construction of making her statement, adding a couple of supporting sentences, and then restating her initial point. I don't remember that being an issue in the Lock & Key books, so hopefully she had outgrown that by the second book.
