One of my favorite books I’ve read recently. A beautiful story that I loved every minute of.
It’s sweet and sad seeing big Adult events and problems through the eyes of a responsible 11 year old. And remembering when the world seemed very straight forward before adulthood and traumas jaded me.
I don't think I'm in the right phase of my life to be reading this book (?). I think I'll appreciate it more when I'm older.
The way Alex sees the world purely and truthfully, something I'll recommend to you if you're looking for something with a wise vibe and a book that made you just think abour life.

This is one heartwarming story. A series of recordings by an 11yr old (13 in responsibility years) who wants to send his iPod to space.
You don't really know what to expect when a book is written in the perspective of a kid.
Loved the innocence of Adam, how he viewed the world, the adventures he came across.
I wished there were more pages, but alas, all good things come to an end.

This book truly surprised me in a wonderful way. I didn't expect it to have such deep insights. Jack Cheng has written a beautiful story about a bright boy, Alex, embarking on a journey to the cosmos with his family and friends by his side. Definitely one of my favourite book!
I liked the story a lot. The main character has a lot of energy, imagination, and a huge capacity for love and friendship.
The premise of a boy who loves space and Carl Sagan making recordings for alien beings is a great beginning to an exploration of what it means to be family and to love.
The book on CD features an actual kid as narrator plus different actors speaking for different roles which added something to the story although I wasn't very fond of the kid's voice.
I hope my 11-year-old space-loving son will enjoy this. I will read it to him so I can talk about some of the more sensitive subjects like a cheating father and a mother with schizophrenia.
