An 11 years-old boy had stolen my heart!Alex's astronomy jokes are in another level of joke. I really mean it.
It's so heart-warming book and I enjoy reading this book. You should read it to know our cute-pure-honest boy called Alex Petroski!!!!

Honestly? Wow. This was such a rollercoaster of emotions.
Usually I’m not one for books in which the protagonist is a child but boy am I glad I made an exception for this. I read the entire book in a few hours and it was majestic, honestly. Alex is such a sweetheart and his love and admiration for planet Earth and space is so charming. Not to mention how innocent he is. Cheng’s writing is fantastic. I truly felt so connected to the entire gang on their road trip. It was phenomenal and I’m so glad I read this.

Such a fun concept for a young reader’s book. I loved all the characters, and there were twists I never expected. This book is great for adults too.
3.5 stars for this one. I liked much of it and the main character is charming and sweet, but there were so many characters that I didn't care for one bit.
An honest look (Carl Sagan would ask for no less) at mental disorders, individuals with special needs, kids growing up in hardship, the complexities of family and romantic relationships, and on and on. I will be thinking about Alex, his Terra, Ronnie, and Carl Sagan (dog in this case) for a long time. They didn't have to send a poet (oh yeah! Contact references!) because Jack Cheng wrote this beautiful novel for us.
