I have a treasured copy of this book that was given to me by one of my former teachers. It is such a wonderful story.

I first read Le Petit Prince in 1997 as part of the curriculum for my college French class. Even though I had previously taken four years of French in high school, I’ll admit I didn’t understand much when I read this story. Many of the French words were ones I had never encountered. I think I need to give this another try and read it in English.

The Little Prince is a profound story about life and what really matters, and about the people who inhabit this world. Such a simple tale but makes you think deeply. This makes me think of my childhood and my little brothers and my future children. We should never let the wonder in ourselves die and be open to imagine a better world.
