In three installments, Odd Interlude takes place before and separate from the newest Odd book, Odd Apocalypse. It doesn't do much to further the character, but it's a great suspense story with some interesting ideas. Well worth a read, particularly if you're in need of an Odd fix!

I "read" all of Odd Interlude on Audible. So far, I still love the series. On to the next!

Really quite the story, all together. Would have preferred a full, regular novel to these 3 short pieces. We still know next to nothing about Odd's newest companion, hopefully that will change in the next book. This story is classic Koontz, psychological thriller showcasing mankind at its worst again. You think the story is going down one path, when it takes a sharp left turn into the unexpected. That is what keeps me reading his novels.

Not bad...a return to his earlier work involving "reasonable extensions" of existing recombinant DNA research, coupled with the fantasy of Odd's...oddities. Better than others of his more recent works, but still wordier than he used to be. Too much inane chatter from the characters and overuse of "SAT" words, as my kids like to call them. He used to be more crisp in his writing. Also, the action was formulaic, not as intrinsically frightening as some of his earlier books, perhaps because it was, in the end, not close enough to human evil to inspire true shivers. All in all, better than some of his recent books, but not up to the level of humor of Tick Tock, the humanity of Watchers, the psychological drama of Cold Fire, or the creativity of Lightning or Twilight Eyes. I'm hoping for better from Odd Apocalypse.

The final installment of Interlude was awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing what Odd gets himself into next.

Decent ending, but nothing to write home about. I thought the climax happened to suddenly. Overall, great 3 interludes.

The three-part mini-series is up and down but for the most part it is more good than average. HOORAY GRAMMAR! WHAT A SENTENCE THAT WAS!
