I loved this book. I could not put it down in the beginning, and truthfully I probably took a break from it when there was less than 100 pages left because I just felt so sad for Leni and her life. It just felt so unfair everything she had to go through and then everything happening with Matthew. I was happy with the ending to at least have some kind of full circle moment/happy ending 😭

4.25⭐️ The Great Alone is predictable and cliche in so many ways, but it’s still just really good writing. I rolled my eyes a few times and was annoyed with some of these characters, but it’s still a powerful story. I cried a couple of times, which doesn’t happen often, and enjoyed the overall plot. There was a point by the end that I wish it would have ended, but still felt as if the story had a natural progression. I enjoyed it!
